Here we have a nice change, a model that we don't see come up available for sale very often. A complete kit, but not quite finished 3" scale Aveling & Porter steam lorry. Built from the now discontinued Maxitrak kit, she is nearly there, having been test fired and run successfully on a couple of occasions. All the original boiler certificate history and build details are there, so you can consider this a brand new model that is part way through the commissioning process and that needs the final assembly and paint to finish her off completely. Quite a big model as well by normal 3" lorry standards. Avelings tend to be slightly spindly looking with delicate rather than chunky features, but certainly not a small thing at just under 6 feet long!
There is a crank shaft driven water pump with bypass valve, an injector of course. Lubrication is mechanical and up front near the cylinder as you'd expect.
